Tried all the usual tools, tricks (including harsh words and expletives) but no movement. It didn&#8217;t have much rotation due corrosion etc so I thought it was time to go full retard on it. Out came the drill, selected the next size up from the inner race dimension and had at it. After a few rotations of the inner race at increasing speed the outer just wound out of the sideplate with unexpected ease. It&#8217;s more a case of inability to grip the bearing than the bearing&#8217;s grip in the sideplate, and drills bite nicely into stainless.
